Computer engineers are among the motorists with the worst records for accidents, according to Churchill Car Insurance.
After analysing claims data from the last three years, the car insurance provider found that farmers are some of the UK's safest drivers because they've made the least number of car insurance claims in the period.
Tony Chilcott, the head of Churchill Car Insurance, said computer engineers, sales managers, chefs, doctors and estate agents all feature in the top ten list of frequent claimers because of "the long hours they work in a very stressful job".
"As a result, they are more likely to be tired when driving – and possibly distracted," he remarked.
"Estate Agents make lots of journeys in their cars during the day – dashing to see clients in urban areas and often parking wherever they can when they arrive."
On the other hand, he noted, individuals who work outdoors or who drive for a living tend to have fewer accidents – and therefore make fewer car insurance claims – because they operate in more "tranquil" circumstances.
Pilots, aircraft fitters, ambulance drivers and laboratory technicians also featured in the top ten compilation of motorists who make the fewest car insurance claims.
